Abstrak
This community service article reports on the internalization of constitutional law principles into a formal youth cadre training program, namely the Pelatihan Kader Lanjut (PKL) VIII organized by the Regional Board (PC) of Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PMII) Kota Mataram, held for five days from 9 to 13 August 2026 at the UPT Asrama Haji Mataram. The activity was attended by twenty-two cadres, comprising participants from PC PMII Kota Mataram, PC PMII Buleleng, and PC PMII Kupang, and was supervised by the Coordinator of Cadre Development of PKC PMII Bali Nusra. The problem addressed is the limited comprehension among youth cadres of constitutional principles such as separation of powers, checks and balances, and the constitutional position of state institutions, which weakens their capacity to read and respond critically to public issues. The service method combined lecture, guided discussion, case simulation, and mentoring, delivered by a national instructor with a background in constitutional law. Results indicate an improvement in cadres' conceptual grasp of constitutional law and their ability to connect constitutional norms with organizational and social practice, supporting the organization's goal of producing kader mujtahid. The program demonstrates that structured legal internalization within cadre training can strengthen critical thinking, leadership, and civic responsibility among student cadres.
