Abstrak
This community service activity was conducted through a Public Dialogue Forum themed "Constitutional Court Decision – Regional Heads Elected by DPRD: Democracy for Whom?" organized by the Coordinating Branch Executive Committee (PKC) of PMII Bali Nusa Tenggara on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Bhumi Resto, Jempong, Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. The event brought together five expert speakers representing the NTB KPU Commissioner, NTB BAWASLU Commissioner, an academic (Full Professor from UIN Mataram), and two members of the NTB DPRD from the PDIP and PKB factions, with participants drawn from PMII cadres and the general public. The activity aimed to improve participants' constitutional literacy regarding the Constitutional Court's decisions on regional head election mechanisms particularly the discourse surrounding election of regional heads through the DPRD. The method employed was a multi-panel public dialogue format. Outcomes indicate a significant improvement in participants' understanding of the implications of MK decisions for local democracy, and of the importance of active civic participation in safeguarding popular sovereignty
